Email not sent to Attendees!

I have the latest version installed of event espresso. When I click on email attendees of my event. It says that all the attendees (204) have been emailed however the email is never received by the attendees. What is going on? Please help.

Hi Kevin,

Are you using Event Espresso Lite?

Are you receiving emails from other systems from WordPress? Did this happen with a recent update? What version did you upgrade from and to?

It says the version of event espresso I use is Version 3.1.15.P

and some of my attendees received it but some didn’t.

I have send mass email to 204 attendees and I was asked by my hosting server to send them in portions instead but I am not sure how to do this using event espresso.

Hi Kevin,

That is quite an old version of Event Espresso, as such it is hard to figure out what would be going on.

However, what you said about the host means they have probably limited the number of emails that can go out in one go.

Event Espresso cannot limit this for you, I would suggest using a plugin like WP SMTP mail or even better a service like Mandrill or Postmarkapp which basically take over the mail sending for you. Mandrill offers a free signup, I think something like 20,000 mails per month for free, but you need to check their site to confirm it.

That’s a pretty old version of Event Espresso and I recommend upgrading. What version of WordPress are you using too because if you upgrade one and not the other you’ll probably have issues.

There is no way to stagger the email deliverability in Event Espresso unless you edit the mail functions directly. You might want to investigate the Transactional Email Plugin we have available to customers that has integrations with Mandrill (MailChimp) and PostMarkApp (which can give you better detail and reporting).
