Hello,
We just opened registrations to our website at yesterday. I just happened to look at the Messages tab in EE and they were all sending fine (162 sent). Then, they suddenly stopped sending and we have 155 that failed. I’ll paste the error below. What can I do to fix this and how can I force send those 155 messages? When I try to resend them that doesn’t work.
Message was not executed successfully.
Messenger and Message Type were valid and active, but the messenger send method failed.
The email did not send successfully.
The WordPress wp_mail function is used for sending mails but does not give any useful information when an email fails to send.
It is possible the “to” address (useraddress@hotmail.com) or “from” address (noreply@epsne.org) is invalid.
As mentioned in the error above, wp_mail (which is used to send the emails from your site) doesn’t provide a useful error when emails fail so EE provides a common problem stating the to and/or from address is invalid.
So starting from the beginning I’m assuming the email address is valid and hasn’t been changed?
If you send a test email from one of your messages do you receive that? Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message settings -> Registration Approved.
In the side bar to the right, under ‘Extra actions’ you’ll see ‘Send a test email to *:’, add your email address there and send a test email, do you receive it?
Thank you for the reply and suggestions. It turns out our host disabled mail on our site because of suspicious activity. This has been resolved.
Thanks,
Jeff
