Hi
We are having an issue where the email are not being sent after someone buys a ticket,
Also we cant seem to upgrade our version

can someone please help with this

Hi there,

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages.

The Message Activity table will load by default, can you see a list of emails there?

Do they show as sent? (green) Or something else?

Also we cant seem to upgrade our version

You’re license key is assigned to the temporary domain your site had when setting up EE, I’ll reset it now, however something to note is that Email issues are always always outside of Event Espresso (especially if they just stop without you updating) so I suspect updating EE will not fix your current issue.

Hi there,

I’m sure how helpful a phone call will be here, I’d need to see what was happening and I won’t see anything on a call.

However, if the messages are showing as sent (green) in Event Espresso then it means the emails were generated and ‘sent’ without any errors, if the email isn’t received after that it’s usually an issue with the mails server in use.

To use a real-world analogy if we think of the email as a letter, EE wrote out the letter, put it in an envelope, added the address, sealed it and passed it in at the post office who smiled and waved you on your way. From that point you don’t have any further control over the letter and it arrives however it is the postal service is set up to ‘send’ it.

Who host’s the domains email currently?

For example are you using gmail or another service?
