EMAIL EVENT ATTENDEES

I have tried several times now unsuccessfully to send an email to all the attendees of an event. Each time, there is a message confirming that the mail has been sent, however upon verifying with the people about an email, no email has been received. I have the mail chimp integration plugin, all the latest upgrades.
We have paid for premium support, and don’t have the time to be fussing with extra emails to check on emails.
Please help. www,beehivebraintree.com

Hi Dallas,

I checked your account and do not see any support items listed here. Did the support token purchase go through?

When troubleshooting emails, the first thing I check for is whether the emails are getting trapped in the spam folder.

In most cases, setting up a third party service to deliver email will resolve email delivery issues. The built-in mail servers (especially those that are used for shared hosting accounts) can be unreliable. We recommend using a service like Mandrill or Postmark and even built a WordPress plugin to integrate with either of these services for sending transactional email. You can download this plugin from your account page after opting into the pre-release channel.

Here is a link to the documentation for the transactional email plugin:

Alternatively, you could also use a gmail account and configure a plugin like the WP Mail SMTP plugin to send the emails.

Hi Josh – thanks for the reply. We have mailchimp – is that the same idea as one of the add-in’s you suggest? it looks like configuring the WP Mail SMTP may be easiest – but can you point me in the direction of how to do this? I assume that if we use this, mail will be from that address instead of wordpress…

Also – refer to invoice # s2-5100516c463dc for 30 min priority support – i’m certain this was paid.

update…Installed WP Mail SMTP. Successfully sent test email, however registration emails are STILL not being sent, even though “a confirmation email has been sent” is being displayed, and mail event attendees says message sent.
Should I disable the mail chimp?

Under Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Email Settings, do you have “Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?” set to “yes”?

Hi Dallas,

The mail chimp integration handles email newsletter signups, and doesn’t affect the transactional email delivery.

I’m not able to find a recent support token purchase. Was this the support token that was used on Jan 23rd, or was it purchased under a different account?
