I am trying to customize my EE4 confirmation messages and having the following challenges:

1. How do you put an ANSWER in the message. I have “Company” as a question and I see ANSWER_* but have tried to isolate this specific answer with things like ANSWER_Company and so on, but no luck. Would really like these to not have to come in the QUESTION LIST, if I can avoid it, since not all apply.

2. We’ve used Price Modifiers to manage different regional taxes. How can I display: a) Percent Modifiers and b) Base Ticket Price, in the email?

Thanks for your help.
Matt

One more thing on this:
Is there a way to use “real” data to test this. My site has been up for about a week and things are starting to come in. I love Star Wars, but it would be great to see what one of my users would really get in their inbox, when I view a sample. Specifically, costs and questions.

Thx.
Matt

Hi Matt,

Depending on the Recipient context you’ll use either:
[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Company]
or
[RECIPIENT_ANSWER_*Company]

With regards to price modifiers and ticket base prices, I’m afraid the email message templates do not have shortcodes for those. The templates for the Receipts and Invoices do include shortcodes for the specific line items. So you can include a link to download a receipt which will include that information, and the shortcode that you can add to the email for the receipt URL is [RECEIPT_URL].

For future reference, you can view all available shortcodes for the template you’re working with by clicking on the Help tab (upper right corner of the page), then click on Message Shortcodes.

Thanks Josh. Appreciate it.

Another quick question. Is there a way to send different Event Confirmations to different Admins? We have multiple events and they are all managed by different people.

Hi Matt,

Yes there is. The simplest way is if each event admin is the actual author of the event, then you put [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] into the admin message template’s To: field.
