Hi,

I’m trying to figure out how to create an e-ticket in EE4. I see a module for EE3 but am not sure about how to do it in EE4. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

With EE4 you need the ee4 ticketing add-on installed:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-ticketing/

Then go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates.

There you will find the ‘Ticket’ and ‘Ticket Notice’ message types. The ticket message template is the actually tickets the users print/save, the ticket notice is the email that is automatically sent to the user to allow them to download their tickets.

So, to start, do you have EE4 Ticketing add-on installed and activated?

Yes, it is installed and I can see the ‘Ticket’ and ‘Ticket Notice’ message types. What next?

You follow the documentation to get the tickets set up:

Read that. I’m trying to figure out how to keep an electronic copy of the ticket on a phone so they can be scanned at the door. All I see are ways to print a ticket. How is that done?

Currently EE4 does not provide a way to download the tickets to the device, they will need to open up the email to display the ticket to be scanned.
