Screen error
Should I simply get my developer to update his custom code using the newer codebase?

It’s recommended and is a simple code change.

Would this update effect column output? I am getting reports of parenthesis in columns where none had been before and that is causing problems. Example: before the Amount Paid would be 265, now it is 265(265)

It shouldn’t do.

Is amount paid one of the columns filtered by the function?

If you remove the custom code (just comment out the hook callback) and run an export, do you still see the parenthesis?
