Hi
I updated EE4 today in wordpress.
Now the up and coming events widget shows todays date and time rather than the course date and times.
Please advise.

Hi Ian,
I can’t reproduce this locally.
Can you edit your Leicester event and check the event’s date time is correct please?
To confirm is the widget still outputting the correct amount of dates but some are today’s?

Hi,
I updated the Leicester event and problem is the same.
Go to: http://www.pat-training-now.co.uk/
Look at the widgets on the right, they all have the current time and weird dates that do not correspond with the actual course date.

Hi Ian,
I see this issue on your site, but do not get that locally so trying to narrow it down a little.
So the datetime within the actual event is correct?
When you updated EE4 did you update any other plugins?

Hi,
I have reverted my site to this morning before the change from a backup.
All fixed now.
I wont update again!

Hi Ian,
I am sorry if there was an issue that forced you to revert.
It would have been good if we could have worked through the issue though, as that would have allowed us to help you stay on the current version, and allowed us more insight into a potential bug.
I would strongly advise you to reconsider not upgrading again.
EE4 is currently in open Beta, which means it probably has some bugs and we are working hard to improve stability, fix bugs and add a whole load of new features.
By not updating you will remain on a version that will have a limited feature set and potential, unknown bugs. Plus after a certain number of releases, our advice will inevitably revert to “update”, before we can assist further, as we cannot support very old versions.
With any site, it is a good recommendation to have a development version, either as a subdomain of the live site or on a local site on your computer. This will allow you to test out updates to Event Espresso, and any other plugin or theme before updating the live site.
