EE4 Ticketing Add-On E-Mails Not being Received

So we’re having an odd issue where some of our ticket purchasers are not receiving the e-mail containing there tickets at all, not in their spam folder and nowhere to be found even up to 48 hours after their purchase. However these same people are getting the registration confirmation e-mail. We are wondering if anybody has any idea why this is happening and how can we remedy it?

Hi there,

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity

Do you see the missing messages listed there? If so what colour status bar (the bar to the left) do they have?

It is listed and the bar is green.

Ok, so the ticket notice was triggered for those registrations and wp_mail (which EE passes the emails to) did not return an error.

Generally, that would mean that somewhere along the way after the email is sent it’s being flagged as spam, if it’s not showing up in spam then the mail server may simply be deleting it.

Are you using your host’s mail server? If so we recommend switching to a transactional email service and have a list of some here:

Try one of the above services and see if the same issue happens, if not it’s an issue with your host’s mail server, either its dropping emails or it’s IP may have been flagged and it’s causing some servers to flag the emails as spam.
