Is there any way to limit access to the barcode scanner add-on for users so that they can only use this feature.

My site is run for clients so I’m not always, and don’t want to be, available to attend events to give access to this section of the site.

If it is available, how do I set this up?

Thanks in advance

Russell

Hi Russell,

How are you today?

The Capabilities System in EE4 should help.

Sorry one more question.

I have set up a user role, and assigned the capability’s that I want to give them. I can get the scanner option to show, but it allowed the user to scan any event.

Is there a way to let the logged in user only see the events they have created? I have it set up this way for the events listing but cant figure it out for the scanner.

Thanks

Russell

Hi Russell,

It turns out that the Barcode scanner add-on does not currently have the ability to limit the events shown on the Barcode scanner page to a specific user account. I can make a feature request ticket so this could be added in a future version. This is a great idea to add some more granular control over who sees what events there, so thanks for the feedback.
