Hi,
I just upgraded to EE4, and the ESPRESSO_EDIT_PROFILE short code doesn’t do anything, the ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU page doesn’t show any details of the transaction, and the ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS page doesn’t display anything.

If these aren’t possible with EE4, is there a way to downgrade back to EE3?

Hi Cynthia,
I’m sorry for the trouble. Event Espresso 4 does not support those shortcodes. ESPRESSO_EDIT_PROFILE and ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS are included with the WP user integration add-on, which is an Event Espresso 3-only plugin. We do not have a WP user integration plugin for Event Espresso 4.
The Thank you page not showing transaction details may mean that the Thank you page wasn’t set up correctly. You can check on this by going to yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_general_settings&action=critical_pages and it will let you know if it needs to be fixed and have instructions on what to do.

Yes, the best way to downgrade to Event Espresso 3 is to deactivate Event Espresso 4 and restore the database to the backup that you took before you updated to Event Espresso 4, then activate Event Espresso 3.
If you did not make a backup of the database, it’s possible to reset thing back the way they were before. This is done manually by going through and changing the shortcodes on the Event Espresso pages so they match the instructions in this guide:
