First of all… what an awesome design and layout on the e-mails that are being sent in EE4!! And the receipt and invoice looks absolutely fabulous!
I do have a suggestion/feedback for you.
In the e-mail correspondence after a customer has registered for an Event, there are Social Media links at the bottom of the mail under “Connect with Us:”. Also there exists “Contact info:”.
I have for instance not provided any Twitter or Google+ info as I do not have it for my Event or business. I do not even provide a phone number. It would be awesome if such “empty” data fields would automatically be removed.
First, it looks a bit bad to have a label stating Phone: and then it is empty.
Secondly, if Twitter and Google+ are provided and the customer clicks them, nothing happens.
Maybe it is possible to remove it manually, but it would be great if the system would automatically detect it or if it would be possible to select in a configurative way.
Thank you for the suggestion. While it would be great to do that detection, it’s nearly impossible to do because the message templates are generated when you first activate EE4. We’ve had internal discussions about this and, at one point I recommended removing those sections entirely, but the consensus was the sections are easier for the end user to remove if they’re not going to be used, than to try to add them from scratch.
No, you don’t need to go into some PHP code. Those are in the message templates and you just delete those sections right in the message template editor.
