redacted

It shows it was abandoned in the backend, but they did pay and Autjorize.net shows it was paid for.

Hi Dorian,

Can you check your site’s PHP error log for any errors around the time of 6:39PM on that date?

I’m going to remove the link to the screenshot because it includes someone’s personal information.

I checked error_log and don’t see any errors at that time.

Hi Dorian,

Can you go to Event Espresso > Transactions, then check for that transaction there? There may be more than one listed between the main view and the Abandoned Transactions filtered view. When you go into the Transaction are there any payments listed there?

Nope, it is just under abandoned.

If you go into the transaction listed under Abandoned, are there any payments listed there? If not, then that means your site did not get the payment notification from Authorize.net. The software will not mark a payment as completed without a payment notification.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have further questions.

Most go through just fine. It is not showing any payment. The issue is why it did not send it back to the site as paid.

You could check in Event Espresso > Payments Methods > Logs and check for any API calls log for that transaction ID. On that page you’ll see Log IDs and corresponding Transaction IDs. Are there any Log entries there for that Transaction ID?

There is nothing in the log for that ID.

That also indicates that your site did not get the payment notification from Authorize.net. The software will not mark a payment as completed without a payment notification.

Yea, but why is the question. 🙂

I don’t have the data to give you an answer. It could be an issue where network traffic was slow at the time and the request timed out, other processes happening on your server leading to errors on the request to update the transaction, the server running low on memory at the time of the request, or a number of other things.

In any case, the software cannot automatically update the registration status if it does not received the payment notification.
