Hello Everyone, especially the support staff.

I am your very old customer and have been used ee3 then you moved on to ee4, So did we. But there has been issue of recurring event addon. Our company needed this feature as we have continuous evets to edit and reschedule as our classes goes on. Events are in hundreds.

I have tried EE4 Recurring Events Manager beta version but that didn’t work. Thought you might release this as final product soon. But you are not ๐Ÿ™

Now our company is planning to move out from ee4 to any of your rivals due to lack of this feature. Would you pls help us and confirm when can you have bulk recurring and edit options?

Note: I have follow-up on this several times but no luck ๐Ÿ™

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

You said you tried the beta version of recurring events for EE4, but it didn’t work. What did not work?

We’ve been successfully running the Beta version of Event Espresso and Recurring Events on Event Smart for several months so I wouldn’t be afraid for you to use it on your site.

I’ve created an example recurring event using the REM add-on. The only thing I did to make the dates and tickets more clear is to manually change the datetime and ticket names to clarify which tickets are for which dates.

Hi Mark, we haven’t heard from you about the Recurring Events Manager. How can we help you more?

Hi Garth,

Can we make the same design as this in the screenshot of the recurring event: https://www.screencast.com/t/wbNYcEkhO

Check this website: https://firstaidcalgary.ca/standard-first-aid-courses/#Reg

Thank you,

Hi Mark, that is probably easiest built by hand simply by formatting the contents of one page. You could also consider using the List Table Add-on. There is also a Date Filter in Event Espresso > Events > Templates

Show Date and Time Filter: https://www.screencast.com/t/sQUF4Kr9GdK1

Hi,

I am facing an issue if I try to make recurring multiple days in one week like Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday then it’s giving error but if I make recurring for only one day like Monday for a few months then it’s working fine, please let me know where I am making mistake or there is a bug in the recurring addon, check this video: https://www.screencast.com/t/XJtJgutlbWc

Thank you,

Hi Mark,

We will need more information to help you. Can you:

– open up the browser dev tools before creating the recurring dates
– look at the Network tab in the dev tools to find the request that attempted to make the recurrence
– click on that request to see the details

Tell us what you find that is not normal such as an error message.

If necessary you can give us temporary credentials and we can do it for you on your site.

Hello Garth,
I have checked that AJAX request and in the first request I have seen this error in response tab
[{“errors”:[{“message”:”Internal server error”,”extensions”:{“category”:”internal”},”locations”:[{“line”:2,”column”:3}],”path”:[“createEspressoRecurrence”]}],”data”:{“createEspressoRecurrence”:null},”extensions”:{“debug”:[{“type”:”DEBUG_LOGS_INACTIVE”,”message”:”GraphQL Debug logging is not active. To see debug logs, GRAPHQL_DEBUG must be enabled.”}]}}]

Have a look into it and let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,

‘Internal server error’ means there is likely a fatal PHP error being thrown on the request.

If you check the server error logs from around the time you test the above can you see any error from Event Espresso?

Or you can add:

defined('GRAPHQL_DEBUG', true);

Within your site’s wp-config.php to enable debugging there and see if any errors show up on the above request.

Where did you download the beta version you are currently using from? I can send you the latest build to see if that shows anything different.

The pre-release version is actually relatively old now (we’ve been working a lot on the next version of Event Espresso so changes are happening fairly rapidly).

I’ll get the latest build packaged up today for you to try.

Could You please tell me?

Hi Mark,

Apologies for not updating this thread, the Pre-release version of Event Espresso has been updated along with the recurring events manager.

When you install that version it will trigger a ‘migration’ as we made a change within the database, run through the steps to complete the migration and you can then use that version to test.
