EE4 Promo code question (2)

This is from my customer:

Can we program the site to not accept promotional codes which have values greater then the balance due?
If the customer enters 1 qty. for a 35$ class but then enters the promo code “Groupon2” which is valued at 50$. The registration page then states the registration is complete.

The problem is there is no way to now track the $15 credit.

Hi Dorian,

While the promotional add-on doesn’t include logic rules that would prohibit a code from not being allowed if the total doesn’t reach a specific amount, you can set specific events to only allow specific promo codes. So for example, when it’s class where the tickets cost $35 each, that class can be set so it only allows specific promo codes, and so you set that class to only allow promo codes that equal $35 or less.
