Hello!

I found this post from almost exactly a year ago today: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-permalink-defaults-to-blogeventsevent-name/

And it explains my problem exactly. Lorenzo is right on the money with the reason too.

Thing is, I do want my blog posts to sit under /blog/post-name but I don’t want my training events to appear to sit in the blog. I want them under /training/training-title.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert, I could not find a way to change this other than removing the blog postname base so I’ve created an enhancement ticket with our development team.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,

I don’t suppose you have any news on the enhancement ticket you raised?

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert, permalinks affect the core plugin so this is still being reviewed. A team member did share a possible workaround:

Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for getting back to us. I particularly like the programmers comment: “Note that I wouldn’t actually recommend doing this, but it’s fun to know it’s possible”.

So I guess we’ll hang on to see if your review turns up anything interesting.

Thanks,
Robert
