As the topic states, no emails are being sent out of the system, so at the moment the event platform is pretty pointless. I assumed this would just work, is there any documentation or is there anything obvious I’m missing that I need to do to get this working? Finally, test emails don’t send either.
WordPress: Version 3.9.2
Event Expresso: Version 4.3.0.p
I just upgraded to the latest version of Event Espresso from the previous, however the previous didn’t work as well.
Email issues such as these are usually due to server configuration. If WordPress can not send emails, neither can Event Espresso. You can test this using a plugin such as Check Email to send a test email (although you state test emails do not send so you may have tested this already)
Event Espresso passes the Emails to WordPress, which then passes those emails to your server, which could then do any number of steps.
Personally I would recommend using a service such as Postmark or Mandrill to send your emails. Mandrill is free up to 12k emails per month.
Sorry for my slow reply.
I greatly appreciated your prompt response, it saved me the other day and helped me solve my problem. I found that Mandrill worked great, thanks again!
Cheers,
Paul.
