When using EE4, how do we create multi-part events?

Buying one ticket should get the attendee into all 8 class sessions (e.g. on Tuesdays at 7pm). Thus far in EE4 it appears that a different ticket must be associated with each datetime. This would require the attendee to register and pay 8 separate times, which is not reasonable. How a person pay once to get into all 8 parts of the event?

Thank you!

Hi,

You should be able to create 8 datetimes and assign them to one ticket.

Does that help?

Hi Seth! I am aware that I should be able to, but I cannot figure out how. It appears as if each datetime has a separate ticket associated with it. Could you post some specific steps of how to do the solution you mention? Thanks!

You can create the datetimes, then make sure the ticket is assigned to each date, or different dates as needed. Here’s a screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/4bS8NfQoG

Does that help at all?

Hello again Seth! Unfortunately, I am still confused. I want to have people pay once for one ticket and then get added as an attendee to all 8 Tuesday classes. It looks from your screencast as if there is a separate ticket for each Tuesday. Is there a way for people to make one purchase and get added to all 8 events?

I’m new to EE4, but I think I figured this out… After creating your 8 datetimes for your event, go down to the “tickets” section. For your example, make sure that you have only 1 ticket created. On the right of the ticket, click the gear icon for the settings for that ticket. In the settings, you’ll see a bix which says “# datetimes”. Enter “8”. Now, just make sure that your 1 ticket is assigned to every datetime.

Hi,

What Nick has said is correct, it is about creating the datetimes and adding in the number of datetimes they can access and whihc ones are available for that ticket.

As it says in the event editor “This ticket will be usable (allow entrance) for the following selected event datetimes (click to select). The “# Datetimes” amount (above) indicates how many of the assigned datetimes the ticket holder can gain access to:”
