Using latest WordPress and EE4.
Login using Application Password gets
ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password.
This is broken for both Apple and Android. This worked previously with older code versions.
Login using WordPress User and Password works OK. Please advise.

Hi there,

Can you clarify something please? You’re getting an “Invalid username” when you try to log in with the app, but only if using an Application password? Are you sure you’re typing in the same username as the username associated with the WP User?

Correct.. only if Application Password. Revoked and set several new App PWD’s still got error. The App PWD has worked in past before CORE .42
WP user/PWD words fine.

When you log into the app are you sure you’re typing in the same username as the username associated with the Application passwords for that user account?

That password actually works for me, but I think there may be some confusion about what to put in for the username. You actually need to use the username of the WP user account. Your site seems to only have one user account, and its username is not eapps.

I checked here and I didn’t see a “eapps” username account, but I do see the one account that’s listed there (by the way you should probably change that username because that’s the first username a brute-force script will try).

So when I use the correct username, it works. The Application password name is not the username, the name listed in the user’s profile page is there for reference only.
