EE4 Mijireh payment error

Hi,

I’m using Mijireh with my EE4 installation to connect to Eway Rapid. I can get to the Mijireh payment page, but after submitting the credit card details I get the error: Order failed: V6053,V6084,V6092. These errors all relate to eway country code errors.

Now if I don’t enter the address information when checking out from my event espresso checkout page, Mijireh makes me enter the address information on their page. If I do it this way I only get one error number, ‘V6053’.

Can you please let me know if this is an error on my event espresso or with Mijireh?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Shaun, is this a recently created account with eWay? Or is it an account that has been is use for some time.

I found the eWay Rapid API reference doc here:

http://api-portal.anypoint.mulesoft.com/eway/api/eway-rapid-31-api/docs/responses

V6053 Invalid Customer CountryCode

If this is a new account, could you ensure that it has been enabled for production / live mode?

The account is live, it is not a new account. I have been using eway rapid natively with EE3 on my live site for a while with no problem.

I am redeveloping my website using EE4 and it is this development site that I am having the problems with.

Alright, the following error looks related to the country that is selected on the payment page:

V6053 Invalid Customer CountryCode

Are you using an address for Australia when testing?

Hi Lorenzo. I sent through my login details almost a week ago. Have you had any luck diagnosing the problem?

Kind Regards,
Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Sorry for the delay. Your address looked fine so I ran additional searches on the error code for the country and found this:

This field must be lower case.
e.g. Australia = au

It looks like the country code needs to be in lowercase.

The problem here is I think this is a specific requirement to eWay. Also, Event Espresso does not know the specific payment gateway that is connected to Mijireh. That is, it receives payment information from Mijireh and not from your payment gateway directly.

I tried a test order earlier with a bad address to try to pinpoint this.

Could you look at the recent attempts that you made with your valid address and check to see if the address shows as AU for the country in your Mijireh dashboard.

If it does, could you ask Mijireh support if they can adjust their system for eWay so that it sends the country code in lowercase?

They may ask for an API doc for this. I found the API docs for eWay here:

https://eway.io/api-v3/

Then I searched for ‘country’ on the page. The fifth result should be for country code. Here is a screenshot:

Hello again, one other idea came to mind that you may want to try.

Go to the Countries tab and then select Australia. You’ll see the country code in the top left side area as AU. Try adjusting that to au and saving changes.

That should send the country code as lower case.

Thanks for your reply Lorenzo,

I’ve tried changing ‘AU’ to lowercase but it immediately switches it back to uppercase. Changing it to lowercase directly in the database seems to break the registration form altogether.

I tried to find the code to strtolower the country ISO code to lowercase before sending it to Mijireh but I couldn’t find where to do this.

Do you have any other ideas?
I will try to contact Mijireh in the meantime.

Kind Regards,
Shaun

Hi Shaun, thanks for giving that a try. I’ve asked a developer about introducing a filter that changes it during checkout. I’ll update this support post once I hear back.
