EE4 iOS app time and attendee issue

I am using the EE4 iOS app. Ia m able to login and see all the events with no issues. The problem is with check-in. I made a test ticket and the local time is on the ticket. On the app it is incorrectly showing the time of the event. For instance I made a test event this morning (19 May) for 11:00 AM EST. When it shows up in the app it makes the time 1500 or 3:00 pm. It seems to be making the time UTC (Greenwhich Mean Time). When the ticket is scanned it says it is for a different event in red. I tried it scanning with any event, and with the actual event for the same results.

The second part of this issue is that when I click on Attendees, it gives me the following message “Error Occurred The request was a valid request, but the server is refusing to respond to it. Unlike a 401 Unauthorized response, authenticating will make no difference. On servers where authentication is required, this commonly means that the provided credentials still do not grant the client persmission to access the resource (e.g.< a recognized userattempting to access restricted content.” I am using my administrative login.

Please let me know how to correct these issues. I am a little new to EE, but so far loving it.

Hi there,

It turns out that you will not be able to change the timezone for the times, that’s a bug that the app developers need to fix.

The other issues you are seeing have to do with authentication. The likely thing that’s happening is the app isn’t authenticating. The current solution that works most of the time for this is posted in this other thread:

Someone from Event Espresso staff can make the edit to the .htaccess file and install the other plugin if we can access the site. You can send access to your website by completely filling out the form on this page:

How do I get the tickets to scan? They are coming up as a different event and red border. Any ideas on this?

That’s probably an issue caused by the user not being authenticated. The authentication is working now, so you can try scanning tickets again.
