I have the “Display Expired Events” option turned to “No”.

Expired events are correctly not showing up on the main archive page for the post type. (ie: http://www.domainname.com/events/)

However they are showing if you view a category archive page. (ie: http://www.domainname.com/event-category/cat-name/)

Hi Scott,

It turns out the category archives do not use the event list settings and will display the expired events in Event Espresso 4.4.5.p. This is due to change in an upcoming release. Some other work has been done with the category archives so that the events are ordered in the same manner as the standard event list.

In the meantime, you can make it so they order by event date and not include expired events by adding the following gist to a custom snippets plugin or your theme’s functions.php.

Can you send the gist please, the only link above is to the site specific plugin tut.

Thanks
