I just purchased EE4 and the demo tested great, but now I am having several critical issues as I dive into this more: 1. It appeared there would be templates available on the page where I list the events, like table calendar template (which was offered as an add-on at the time of my purchase) or the accordion template. As I read through the support forum, it appears you guys do not plan on making those? That was one of the biggest selling points for me with this system. I necessarily must use EE4 as I offer multiple ticket types for each event, so using ee3 is not an option for me. 2. My single events are being posted as BLOG posts. All my sidebar widgets are displayed as well as the DATE of the blog post, which will be extremely confusing for people who are signing up for events. I can find no setting to change how this is posted and as I read the support forum I am finding that you guys changed the single events to post as a certain type of page. Please let me know if both of these issues will be solved. If they cannot be/won’t be soon, this system will unfortunately not be useable for me. Thank you |
Hi! Events are now stored as custom post types. The good news is that the meta data can be hidden with CSS. Another option is to use a plugin like this which sets the single event page to use a page template: http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-page-template/ — |

yeah that looks like it should be easy enough for the single event posts. But what about how the events are displayed using a short code? I really was hoping to have either an accordion or a table calendar template like was shown on the site. Will these be available? I intend to have many events listed on one page and need them organized like those two templates demonstrated. I would prefer to avoid having to get someone to do additional coding, which is why I wanted those templates! Thanks |

Hi Ryan, While we are currently working on getting EE4 stable, more features added and the addons out, it is unlikely we will work on new templates. That being said, it has been discussed internally and is something we would like to see in the future. |

Hey Dean, Will the EE3 add-ons be available for EE4 at some point? And is there any estimated time frame on that? Also, on the page where I have all events listed, is there a way natively in EE4 to have them laid out in a box format like in EE3? The way they are listed on the events page in EE3 is very clean and organized and appears quite different in EE4. Or is that something my wordpress developer people would need to do for me? Thanks! ps. I think I bought EE3 and EE4 for the 179 price when I really intended to just buy EE4. Is there someone I can talk to about that? Thank you. |
Hello, Some addons are currently in the works such as MailChimp but we can’t provide any estimates on actual release dates. EE4 was rewritten and is a different platform from EE3. What are you trying to change on the events page? You can contact sales for some options on adjusting your support license: sales [at] eventespresso.com — |

On the events page, where all the events will be listed, I want them to appear more as list items, like EE3 where they are in their own rectangle box or how it appears in the table calendar template vs EE4 where it is a vertically much taller. Will this require additional coding my a developer? |
Hi Ryan, There are some template options in Event Espresso 4 where you can turn everything off for the event list so it displays less information for each event. Beyond that it does take a bit of coding to display events within a simple list. Here’s an example of a custom loop that could be added into a WordPress page template that will display only the title (with a hyperlink to the event) of the events as list items in an unordered list: |
