Dear Event Espresso,

I have tried the free versions of EE3 and EE4, and although I much prefer EE4, I’m not able to find the shortcode button like you have in EE3 to easily insert the booking form for an event into an existing WordPress post.

I would like to keep the two column layout like you see here, with a simple EE booking form inserted in place of my current PayPal button:

http://www.kensingtonsociety.org/portfolio-item/construction-and-building-site-noise-a-panel-discussion-of-a-new-policy-to-help-kensington-residents/

Is there a way in EE4 to either:

a) take a shortcode for an EE event I’ve created and insert it into the existing post below the event details

or

b) customise your single event template so that the image appears in a left-hand column with all event details on the right. If so, where is the template file to customise?

Thanks, Richard

Hi, the closest option in Event Espresso 4 is the ticket selector shortcode:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-shortcodes-template-variables/#ticket-selector

That will only show the ticket selector for this event and it will not show any other information.

If you are wanting to move content around for Event Espresso 4 (e.g. reposition the featured image), then you’ll need to setup the starter templates in your child themes folder. Then you can make changes:
