Hi, how do I go about setting up optional donations on events using EE4? At the minute we’re adding them as a ticket option but it’s not ideal. Really, it needs to be at the registration form as a price modifier but there doesn’t seem to be an option to do this in EE4… Can you customise EE4 to do this? What are my options? Extensions? Thanks.

Hi Michael,
Currently there isn’t a price modifier or donation system for EE4. The best solution right now would be using the ticket system.

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the reply. Are there any plans to include this functionality in future or are you relying on it being sponsored? I’ve noticed a few threads on the forum asking about this functionality in EE3 and EE4 as well as my own interest.
We’ll have to make do with the ticket system until a better option is available I suppose.

Hi Michael,
We are looking into a variable pricing option for a future version of Event Espresso 4. This will have several applications including being able to accept a variable amount as a donation.

Thanks for the reply on this, sounds great. Is there an ETA on this feature? I think it would make EE4 so much more flexible.
