Hi everybody,
I wanted to get an idea of how to implement the EE4 event check-in tools so I wanted to get an idea of how to set up the workflow for my staff and registrars around the world.
I have registrars in the classes that would be possibly be doing the event check-in for us, which means that the EE4 check-in apps would work here. But since they are only registrars, I don’t exactly want them having access to the EE4 back end at all.
I would like to hear the way people are setting up their EE4 event check-ins, with best practices.
Currently the way the apps work is they require an account with least some limited access to capabilities that are used by the EE4 back end, specifically the capabilities to view registrations and do checkins.
For our classes, for the studnet to receive credit, they need to check-in for every day of the 2 or 3 day class.
Is each check-in for the day, or for the whole multi-day event?
What are the capabilities they would need to be a registrar for our classes? The right way to do this is to probably create a registrar role and give them that role with the corresponding capabilitiets.
I create a “Registrar” role and went to add all the capabilities in the docuement you linked me to, but the last capability was not in the list in User Role Editor:
Turns out there are no *_others_transactions capabilities in EE (be it read, edit, delete etc) so that should not be included in that doc.
I’ll get that updated, but you it should not cause you any problems.
