“I tend to see the following massive error message when checking out. It does not hinder me from checking out but I believe that it is the culprit of so many abandoned registrations. Like people will try to register 4 or 5 times and then just give up. I believe that it is because they are seeing this message and think they have done something wrong. Some will just call me and have me register them and other will just quite altogether which is not good. Is there any way to suppress this message or alter the workflow or something?” See herE: https://ibb.co/cb0p9G |

Hi Dorian, While the screenshot is helpful to see the message, a URL to the site where this is happening will be very helpful so we can check the page source. It’s likely those errors are the result of a conflicting plugin that’s affecting the form submission and form validation. Can you post a link to the site in question? |

She says it happens when go get to the checkout. |

I’m not seeing the errors happen when I test a registration and go to checkout. Do you see any? Can you ask them to go to supportdetails.com and send you the report it makes? It may help to know which browser and OS they’re using when they see the error. |

I do not get an error unless the fields are not filled out and you click proceed. Here is her info: Operating System Windows 7 (64-bit) |

And you expect to see the error with those conditions, correct? Can you try removing the calendar widget from that page? The reason I ask is because the calendar widget uses AJAX and so does the registration checkout page. There may be some issues with Internet Explorer not handling all of that AJAX, so it’d be best to avoid those potential issues. You install the Widget logic plugin and use a simple conditional to set the Calendar widget to not be displayed on the registration-checkout page by adding this conditional code to the widget’s “Widget logic” field: A side benefit to removing the calendar widget from the checkout page is the page will load much more quickly. |

Not sure why it put that there…I’ll remove it. |
