EE4 – email confirmations after registration

Hello ,
I have been reading lots of emails regarding the registration emails.
I have EE4, where in after successful registration and payment, emails should be sent to EVENT_AUTHOR and PRIMARY_EVENT_REGISTRANT for Registration approved and Payment received. But emails are not being sent.
1) But an email is sent, via the test send when I add an email address in the EXTRA ACTIONS of message template.
2) Also the TO and FROM fields are filled in correctly and in fact are resolved correctly.
3) I have WP Email SMTP plugin activated for sending emails. Message -> settings option in event espresso is ON as well.
But then still messages are not sent when I complete the registration?

Hi,

Do you have an email address set in Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Your organization?

Yes that is set to the organisations email id.

Hi,

After the registration is complete, I see 4 records created in Event Espresso -> Message Activity. 2 email records for Registration approved( Primary Registrant and Event Admin) and 2 for Payment Received (Primary Registrant and Evevnt Admin).
All the records show the message sending failed and the error message is displayed as https://cl.ly/2G3v2E1y260b
I have checked the email addresses and are valid email ids mentioned in the error message.

If I click the send immediately button for one of the failed messages via the Event Espresso -> Message activity, I get the following message

Hi Aditi,

Earlier you mentioned that you were using a SMTP plugin. Could you check the email address that is set there?

That email should also be used in the primary contact email area in Event Espresso –> General Settings so they match.

Hi,

Yes I am using a SMTP plugin and it has the same email address as the primary email contact in event espresso

Hi ,
You have mentioned a few transactional email servers to be used for email sending. Is it necessary we use 1 of them?
I am using Wp mail Smtp plugin in my website

WP Mail SMTP basically allows you to specify the mail service you are using rather than your web host to send emails so which service are you using?

Transactions email services are different from the SMTP plugin you are using, have a read here:

Thanks for the information. I have setup the POSTMARK transactional email handling serrvice and now recieve emails after registration.
