I’m having an issue with EE 4.6.25p. Every time I save an event, the start and end times for the event get interpreted as UTC, even though they’re displayed as local times. Because I’m in UTC-6, it means that my events move 6 hours earlier every time I save them.

If the time is displayed as local, it should be saved as local and converted back to UTC, not saved as UTC without conversion.

BTW The timezone is properly set for the whole WordPress site via Settings > General

Hi Jonathan,

Are you using any other plugins that deal with dates/times?

We see this when plugins (or themes) are using the date_default_timezone_set() function which is discouraged with WordPress, see:

https://vip.wordpress.com/documentation/vip-development-tips-tricks/use-current_time-not-date_default_timezone_set/

and

Yup, that was it. AJAX Calendar was the culprit. Thanks!
