Hi

I understand that: https://eventespresso.com/topic/format-date-and-time-in-ee4/
is a bug.

Is there a plan to resolve it, or do we generally have to use this workaround.

Thanks for clarifying.

Keep up the good work,
Ray

Hello Ray,

In that support post there are a couple different issues. The first is that Event Espresso supports date and time formats that PHP supports. If it doesn’t support it, then it will display a warning in the WordPress settings page and switch back to a supported format.

The other question in the post is about adjusting the format which can be done through a template file.

Which one are you referring to?

Thanks

Lorenzo

In that respect I expect having the date and time formats controlled by wordpress settings. that is not the case in mentioned files and widgets.

I had to adjust the date and time formats to German standards in those areas.

So, it is #1: WordPress supports this date format, but it is not displayed correctly.

Does that make sense?

Hello again,

I had a look at the report and the development team has introduced some filters to make changing the formatting easier. These are not in the current release but will be available in a future release of Event Espresso 4.
