Is this guide for Event Espresso 3 on how to create a custom payment gateway still valid for Event Espresso 4?

Hello,
That guide won’t work for Event Espresso 4 as the codebase for version 4 is different than that for version 3.

When can we expect an updated guide or is there never going to be one since you offer to create custom gateways for 1000$?

Hi,
We have always offered a custom gateway development solution, for those that do not wish to get their hands dirty with the code.
It is possible that we will produce a basic EE4 gateway guide, but it will not be soon as a) we are rewriting some of the base code for the gateways and b) it will require pulling a developer off of actual coding work, and this can only be done when resources and workflow allow.
As always we recommend studying the current codebase for the existing gateways to get a feel for creating a custom gateway.
