EE4 Calendar Not Showing (2)

I have EE4(4.8.43) installed on this site: http://thecareerhelpdesk.com/ with accesspress mag pro theme. I installed the EE4 Calendar, but it’s not showing up. I’m sure there’s a script that I’m missing, or something, but I’m not sure where.

Also, on another note, the pdf invoice for approved registrations is showing DTT_NAME and DTT_Description ON the invoice (screenshot: http://cl.ly/2k3a1A3q3v0f). Where do I input that so it doesn’t show those codes, or remove it from the pdf?

Hi there,

How are you adding the Calendar to that page?

If you preview one of the default themes such as twentyfourteen by navigating to:

Dashboad -> Appearance -> Themes -> However over twentyfourteen and click Preview.

Does it show the Calendar?

Where do I input that so it doesn’t show those codes, or remove it from the pdf?

Hmm, those shortcodes should not show up there at all.

You can edit the invoice within:

Event Espresso -> messages -> Invoice.

There you can edit the invoice template but you should not need to remove those shortcodes. As your asking how to edit the template I’m guessing you have not done so previously?

Good Morning!

I tried adding a Calendar widget and I tried adding a text widget to the sidebar and put the [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode in it. It did not show up if I previewed the default themes either.

On the invoice thing, those codes didn’t show up in the actual email, just when we printed the pdf receipt. I had not edited anything when we ran that test, but I have since changed some colors in the template – nothing else.

Is this the calendar that’s not showing up?

The screenshot of the pdf you posted looks like the receipt, not the invoice. You can go in to the Receipt template editor and remove those shortcodes from the DATETIME_LIST section.

That would be the one… weird. It just started working – go figure. It doesn’t appear to work in the sidebar, just the main content area. Is there a way to show a mini calendar in the sidebar?

Yes, it is the receipt – thank you!

There’s an Event Espresso Calendar widget that can be added to a widget area. It will display a mini calendar in a widget.

I actually did add the widget in thanks! It’s working, but not the event titles are not showing up anymore…?

If you’re asking how to show the event titles in the calendar widget, the answer is you can add the following to your custom stylesheet:

.widget_ee-calendar-widget #espresso_calendar .fc-event-title {
	white-space: normal !important;
	overflow: visible;
	margin: auto;
}
.widget_ee-calendar-widget .fc-event-title:before {
    content: none !important;
    margin: 0;
}

The reason that there’s CSS to display the flag icon instead of titles is usually wigetized areas are very small and text doesn’t render in the small spaces so well.
