We really need to make use of the multiple user feature of beta 4.5; if we moved to 4.5 beta, can we simply use the normal inside wordpress update feature to move to 4.5 stable when it comes out?

Also how is the stability so far of 4.5 beta? I have a bad scenario that could really benefit from 4.5.

Hi Tim,

I’m getting ready to push an update to the 4.5 beta channel, which should allow for more stability.

I’m wondering if what you mean by multiple user feature? Do you mean the ability to filter unique user capabilities?

If you’re on beta, the path to update to stable is not a 1-click update. Instead, you’ll need to deactivate and delete beta, then download and install stable via either the WP plugin uploader or FTP.

Yes, that filter unique user capabilities is what I’d like to see. In regards to the beta channel where is the best place to watch out for your updates or subscribe to updates?

Josh, so good to hear from you, on a separate note for your All In One SEO sticky, your “find this and replace” opening line of code is missing a closing parenthesis ). It may help some novice find the code to include it.

Hi Tim,

When you install a and activate a beta, it will automatically show an update notice on the WP plugins page when there’s a new version of the beta ready.
