EE4 Attendee Mover changes old ticket to RCN and creates new ticket as RAP.
Old ticket shows as Cancelled in Registrations.
Print Ticket link includes old RCN ticket and new RAP ticket.
Reassigned old ticket should not be printable.
Please Advise, THX

Hi,

The old ticket will actually be printable, because in Event Espresso, every registration is a ticket. If the ticket for a cancelled registration were brought to an event and scanned, the app will not validate the ticket though, because it’s not an approved registration.

If you trash the registration the ticket will no longer generate.

Unless I didn’t do it right, Trash will not work where the old ticket was included in the Payment Transaction.

Please point me to any coding you have that will not Print (i.e. Not Display on the Event Transaction or Registration Ticket Link) if Ticket is RCN (Cancelled)

Can this be done with php in a Custom Ticket Message?

you should still be able to trash the original (now cancelled) registrations, you will not be able to Perm delete them, but they should sit in the trash fine.

What steps did you take to trash the originals?

One option you have is to change the ticket notice email to use the [TXN_TICKETS_APPROVED_URL] shortcode for the URL, so that any new emails will use a link that only displays Approved tickets – http://take.ms/BJGt7

Clarification: I used Attendee Mover to change a ticket in an approved Transaction (after the fact). It did cancel the old ticket and create a new ticket. But,as mentioned, the Transaction Ticket Link also included the Cancelled Ticket such that it looks like a valid ticket. I was not able to Trash the replaced ticket. Deleting the replaced Registration record in the DB did not prevent it from showing.

I added TICKETS_APPROVED_URL to the ticket notice but it appears that the Tickets Link in the ADMIN Transaction Panel uses another template since the Cancelled Ticket Showed.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, it seems the old ticket will show as long as its part of the original transaction?

UPDATE:
Using TICKETS_APPROVED_URL works resending the Registration Details from REGISTRATIONS. GREAT

Please add having TICKETS_APPROVED_URL apply to the TRANSACTION Tickets Link for future MODS (which I like to use when sending emails to people with missing email). THX

Ok, great.

You mean the admin ticket link in Event Espresso -> Transacions?

Deleting the replaced Registration record in the DB did not prevent it from showing.

Huh? I’m not sure what your editing but manually removing the entries in the db is going to break various relationships so is advise againt it.

I added TICKETS_APPROVED_URL to the ticket notice but it appears that the Tickets Link in the ADMIN Transaction Panel uses another template since the Cancelled Ticket Showed

Ok, yes you do mean the admin ticket link. It’s not a different template but it doesn’t use the ticket notice at all, its a direct link to the tickets for the admin and should be filterable, I’ll check into this.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, it seems the old ticket will show as long as its part of the original transaction?

On the default link it will yes, unless it’s trashed, you can trash a registration linked to the transaction but you won’t be able to perm delete it if it has a payment assign to it.
