I wonder if you can help me with one of our plug-ins – the transfer feature. It used to automatically set the registration as approved once I completed the transfer. Now it says Pending, which means I have to change the Pending to Approved and resend the registration.

Is there a way to have the transferred registration automatically marked as Approved? And is there a way to have the new, approved registration automatically sent to the client instead of me having to manually process it?

Hi there,

I checked and the Attendee Mover add-on never automatically switched a pending payment registration to approved. You have the option to switch the status on the transaction page which is the page you land on after you move the attendee, please see below.

When you switch the status (1), you can set Send Related Messages to Yes (2) and it will automatically send the related messages when you click on Update Registration Status (3).

hi, i think the problem is that since a few weeks, the attendee mover changes an approved registration to pending payment after the attendee is transferred to another event.
This created quite a lot of confusion as our students received payment notices although they had already paid.

The issue is they are going to pending. We then need to approve them. We don’t want the pending functionality.

No, sorry, no updates. If you’re transferring to a free ticket, it will set the status to Approved (since no payment would be required for the free ticktet). Currently if their registration is moved to a paid ticket the registration status will be set to Pending Payment.

May I ask if the ticket you are moving the registrant to is the same price as the original or higher value?

The ticket they are being transferred to is the same price.

Just odd because it had been working as an approved registration up until about 3-4 weeks ago.

The change you’re describing is quite likely from when they fixed the issue with no messages triggered when moving a registration. There’s a ticket in the triage queue to address this.

Hi Susan,

Yes, a registration that is moved onto a ticket with equal value to the original should automatically be Approved (note that only applies if the price matches exactly, any other changes result in pending payment for the admin to decide afterwards).
