EE4 Already purchaced ticket upgrade

Hi guys! I’m running EE4.2.7p currently (I’ll upgrade to 4.2.9 shortly). I’m looking for a method for registrants to upgrade their ticket type after the fact, then get billed for the difference. For instance, a regular member who registers, then later wants to upgrade to a sponsor. Is there any way to do this?

Hi Anthroarts,

How are you today?

Moving attendees from one event/ticket to another is a tricky process because you have to account for payments, capacity changes among the new and old event, etc. At this point you would have to delete the first payments and registration and add them to the new event/ticket.

After you register the person for the second/greater priced ticket there should be a balance due on that ticket. In EE 4.3 (coming soon: https://eventespresso.com/2014/07/like-preview-new-features/) you can send them a payment reminder for the balance due.
