EE4 – adding and updating tickets via PHP

Hi all, one of our clients has a CRM they want to pull ticket info from. Upon front-end page load we want to grab the ticket dates and numbers from their CRM and update/create whats needed on the fly.

Is there a handler for adding tickets and for updating tickets?

Also is there an easy way to add an event? We’d like to hook in to the save function of a custom post type when a specific condition is met and create a matching event espresso event.

Thanks!

Zoe

Hi, this isn’t currently available in Event Espresso 4 as there isn’t a front end manager. However, it is likely to be available once the JSON API add-on has been released for Event Espresso 4 later this year.

Thanks Lorenzo – how easy do you think it would be to insert them in to the database manually? Where are the tickets stored?

Cheers,

Zoe

Hi, I don’t think there is an easy method for that as the information is stored across multiple database tables.

esp_tickets has the ticket information.

Thats annoying, this is going to cause us some problems! Is all the ticket info in esp_tickets or is that spread about the place too?

Are there any approx timescales for the JSON API?

Ta!

Hi,

We are looking at late fall at this time. We recently revised some changes on our roadmap here:
