I’ve used the test drive site and I have a few questions:

1. I used Permissions Pro on EE3 and I can’t see an option to restrict access to my events of the rest of my back end with EE4 – This is essential is it an option, if so where is it controlled from?

2. I am based in the UK and I have selected this as an option but still under venue inforamtion it lists State/Province as a drop down, I can ignore it and it leaves it out but I don’t seem then to have an option to put in the County which is our equivalent.

3. Do registrations still generate tickets? If so how do I access this?

That’s it for the time being but no doubt there will be more to follow. It looks promising in a lot of respects but I need Permissions Pro element before I could even consider upgrading (without creating a ton of work for myself!!)

Thanks

Hi,

1. I used Permissions Pro on EE3 and I can’t see an option to restrict access to my events of the rest of my back end with EE4 – This is essential is it an option, if so where is it controlled from?

The Roles and Permissions plugin has not been created for EE4 as yet. For the most part a standard Membership plugin could block access to events (which are now Custom Post Types).

It’s not perfect as you wouldn’t have membership pricing, but until the plugin is released for EE4 it could be used as a stop gap measure, depending on your needs.

2. I am based in the UK and I have selected this as an option but still under venue inforamtion it lists State/Province as a drop down, I can ignore it and it leaves it out but I don’t seem then to have an option to put in the County which is our equivalent.

The counties need to be added via the General Settings > Countries tab.

The UK needs to be set there (and also in the Your Organization tab) and the option ”
Country Appears in Dropdown Select Lists” needs to be set as yes. Then whatever counties are added will then show in the dropdown list.

3. Do registrations still generate tickets? If so how do I access this?

Registrations still generate emails. Tickets were only generated via the ticketing add on for EE3. EE4 currently does not have a ticketing add on (we have plans for that though!)
