You can see the event listing on the following page
http://70.33.227.66/uncat/

however when you click the event it fails to display. Also the preview page button disappears when the pluggin is installed. I can make this work by switching themes however EE3 worked fine so why is there an issue with EE4 .

Hi Chad,

I can make this work by switching themes however EE3 worked fine so why is there an issue with EE4 .

One of the major differences between EE3 and EE4 is EE4 uses Custom Post Types (CPT’s) for the events. Which basically means it is much more heavily integrated within WordPress than EE3 (which used its own custom table to store the events)

What this means is Event Espresso Events can be treated more like regular WP Posts allowing for much more functionality.

However, the downside is, if your theme (or other plugins) are not coded to follow the WP Standards this can cause issues with EE4.

In regards to your Event not being displayed, can you enable WP_Debug on the site so we can see if any errors are thrown on the event page?

Enabling WP_Debug may also highlight what is happening with the Preview button.

If you look at the page I already have debug turned on which is why you can see
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/church/http/wordpress/wp-includes/nav-menu.php on line 662

on the right for the customer search I am building. Unfortunately the issue I am seeing is that there is no error shown. It is just a blank page. Also there is nothing shown in the debug for the missing preview either. The preview also goes away no matter what is installed as far as plugin or themes. If you would like as this is just a test server I can provide you login details to the site and even server if needed.

Hi Chad,

Does this work on a default WP theme such as Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen? If not, could you please create and share a temporary login for the test site so we can take a look.

You can share the temporary login through this link:

Thank you.

Lorenzo
