EE3 Venue Manager custom fields

Hello. I’ve received a request from a client to add several custom fields to the Venue Manager page, such as Recommended Hotel, Room Name, and so on. Is there a recommended way to acccomplish this without editing the include files directly? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Not easily. In EE3 venues are NOT custom post types so you would need to modify different areas of the core plugin to achieve this, as well as modifying the existing database table or using something like WP options/custom table.

EE4 makes this much easier as venues are custom post types and custom fields can be added very easily.
