I am wondering if what I need is now covered with EE4. A year ago I was not able to do everything.
I have the following plugins at present:

– Attendee mover tool
– Mailchimp integration
– Members Add on
– Price modifier

– Take entries on customisable forms as different events need different data.
– Publish a list of attendees/entered riders automatically
– Take payments – currently via Barclays ePDQ, but I would consider changing to Stripe if I moved to EE4.
– Have add-on/multi level products, ie standard “entry” or “VIP entry”, or add-ons such as buying merchandise.
– Automatically add attendees to mailchimp mailing list
– Provide printable tickets, or tickets to a smart phone

Just to be clear, the second set of points is what I need to be able to achieve.

Hi Matt,

I would recommend creating a test site on our demo site so you can Test Drive Event Espresso 4.

I’ll break down each of your requirements:

– Take entries on customisable forms as different events need different data.

You can create custom question groups and then assign individual groups to specific events, this allows you to have custom questions based on the event selected.

– Publish a list of attendees/entered riders automatically

EE4 has the [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] shortcode that you can add within the event description to show a list of attendees registered onto that event.

– Take payments – currently via Barclays ePDQ, but I would consider changing to Stripe if I moved to EE4.

We don’t currently suppoer Barclays ePDQ although Stripe is available.

– Have add-on/multi level products, ie standard “entry” or “VIP entry”, or add-ons such as buying merchandise.

This can be done by adding additional tickets within the event that the user can select. It depends on how you want to monitor the registrations on those additional, you can either create individual tickets for the additional product or combine tickets together.

For example a single ‘T-shirt’ ticket, or ‘Entry’ and ‘Entry + T-Shirt’ tickets.

– Automatically add attendees to mailchimp mailing list

This can be done with the EE4 MailChimp Add-on

– Provide printable tickets, or tickets to a smart phone

You can use the Printable Tickets Add-on for this. The user will be send a link they can use to generate the ticket, they can either print the ticket or display that ticket on a cell phone.

You can then use the EE4 Ticket Scanner Add-on to scan the tickets. (Note there is currently no native ticket scanning app available for EE4)

In the current add-ons you are using with EE3 you have the ‘Attendee Mover Tool’ listed, currently it is not possible to move registrations from one event to another. You would need to cancel the original registration and re-create it on the new event for this.
