Hi,

You suggest here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/general-settings/ that for EE3 one should use the surcharge input box to add tax, but this does not work correctly when combined with discounts, particularly the early buyers discount.

Here is my example:
Base net price: 36.44
Tax rate (included as surcharge): 7%
Price without discount: 39.00
Price with discount: 35.00

HOWEVER, EE3 displays 34.71 as the total price, which is wrong. It applies the discount before adding the tax. (36.44 – 4 = 32.44 then 32.44 + 7% = 34.71)

Can you please let me know where and how I can set this straight?

EE4 is out of the question, since it does not support recurring events.

What we need is to display the net price, gross price, and discount value, wherever possible (checkout, ticket, invoice etc.)

Thanks in advance for any help.
