EE3 – Stop Spam Registrations

We’ve been seeing an uptick in spam registrations lately on our events. When Google killed off the version of captcha we were using everything changed. Is there anything we can do in EE3 to help prevent these spammy registrations? My client is reluctant to upgrade to EE4 at this time since everything is working fine with EE3 (with the exception of this spam).

Hi Greg,

You can update to Event Espresso 3.1.37.13.p and make use of its updated reCAPTCHA module.

Hi Greg,

EE3.1.37.13 supports google reCaptcha v2, may I ask why you can’t use that version of reCaptcha?

The last time I chatted with someone about v2 I was told it wasn’t supported…and I didn’t realize support had been added. So v2 it is and it works great.
