EE3 – Promotional Codes: 2 Questions

1) Is there a way to restrict the number of times a promotional code can be used? For example, a customer purchases X tickets to my event in one bulk purchase but will redeem the tickets over a period of time. I want to be able to restrict the number of uses to X.

2) If I provide a 100% discount code for event registration (because the customer has already purchased the tickets as in #1 above) why do I not receive an email notification of the ticket purchase?

Hi,

The documentation for the promotions system for Event Espresso 3 is here:

There isn’t a condition for number of uses. However, you can create single use coupons by using the Social Coupons integration.

A free order does not trigger the payment notification email since you didn’t actually receive any funds during registration.
