Hi everyone,
I just started helping a local theatre group pull together their online ticketing and have a few questions. I don’t know a whole lot about EE, I just inherited it.
This is their ordering page:
http://specialgiftstheatre.org/musical-theatre-tickets/
Some quick background: they have two ticket prices, one for general admission and then a free line for them to register children. I did it this way as they want children to count against the capacity of their locations automatically.
The best way, from a usability perspective, is to essentially add the tickets to the cart, and then fill out the information. On that ticketing page, both the register for single event and cart both have the same label “Order Tickets for Show”, but the second button is actually the one I’d rather have them select as they can then choose how many GA tickets and how many free tickets. I’m not sure how to either hide the first button (ideal) or event edit the title of links to make them a little more descriptive (such as “Add tickets to cart”).
We did a single event late last year and I ended up making a custom little event “card” using the shortcode links to make sure the only button there was the cart button. But now that there’s a bunch of tickets, I’m not sure if that as a sustainable option.
Any help is appreciated!
