I own a training compnay and would like to use this product to register students for online and offline courses. The courses have multiple dates. I want to be able to show off the courses in a course catalog style listing the course with a short description under a category header. A more button wood open a full page of the class with a register button listing all available dates. An example of this layout is here http://temp1492.gohtci.com/training/courses/ . Please let me know which option to choose from the too and the pricing plan that wood meet my needs. Thanks

Hi,

There isn’t anything out of the box that would achieve the desired result.

However I think either could achieve this with either plugin, but you would need to create a page that links to multiple pages. Each of these pages would have a shortcode featuring a list of events.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you can test drive EE4 for free over at http://demoee.org

So your recomendation would be to try the EE4 with a 1 Site Licence.

Also how do I create an event without a future date. Some classes do not have dates yet but we want to advertise the class to encourage a group to buy the class and schedule a date.

That would be my recommendation yes, but I would suggest testing it out on the http://demoee.org site first to get a feel for the plugin and to make sure you would be satisfied with how it works.

“Also how do I create an event without a future date”

In short, you can’t. Events must have a start and end date. At best you could set the event date intot he future and then apply CSS to those events to hide the dates.

Would it be possible to set the date in the past and show all events not just future events. That would allow me to create all the classes and then use the recurring event to actually schedule them. Is that possible

I have played with the demo it looks like everything we need except for the ability to create an event without dates. One last quick question the show all events shortcode does it allow parameters to remove the course dates price and register or is that all done in the template file.

Hi Stephen,

The parameters don’t enable removal of things like that so yeah it would be CSS or actual template edits (CSS is usually the easier option).
