I would like the user to purchase a single ticket that will be valid on multiple dates. (not necessarily on consecutive dates)
I am using the posted suggestion of duplicating the event and then linking the events by using the “alternate registration page” (i.e session 1, session 2, session 3) where session 2 and 3 events link to session 1 regstration page
my questions are
1.how to display the linked event details (date, time, venue) in the printable ticket and the cart pages.
2. will the ticket be valid for all linked dates? (using the ticketing add-on and mobile apps on each date?)
Each event that is created is a separate event. If you make a change to one event, then it won’t affect another event. The exception is the recurring events manager.
The additional event dates would need to be added to the main event (the one used for registrations).
Is the ticketing addon and mobile app very important for registrations?
If not, then Event Espresso 4 can handle these registrations for you and will work just as you described:
It lets you grant access to multiple dates with a single ticket and this information is shown on the order confirmation that is sent to the attendee/registrant.
