Hi! I have a client on EE3 and he set up an event with an overflow event. He got emails for overflow registrations, but when we log into the website, the overflow registrations aren’t there. I also noticed that even though the overflow event item status is “Waitlist” it doesn’t show in the admin when I set the event filter to “Waitlist.” Please help!

Joel

Hi Joel,

Do you know the overflow event’s ID?

Hi Josh, Yes the overflow event ID is 40.

For some reason I didn’t receive a notification email when you responded even though I checked “Notify me of follow-up replies via email.

The reason is usually because of a spam or email client filter. Can you check to see if your email account/client is blocking or auto-archiving emails from eventespresso.com?

You’ll be able to access the event by browsing to:

http://yoursite.net/wp-admin/admin.php?page=events&action=edit&event_id=40

I checked my junk folder and it wasn’t there so it must be being filtered before it even comes in. I’ll just keep checking back.

My issue isn’t being able to see the event. The issue is that we’ve gotten notifications that people have registered on the overflow event, but in the WordPress admin, it shows 0 attendees.

When you go to edit that event, is its status set to Waitlist?

Hi Joel,

It will help to know a little more about this site. Do you know the version number of Event Espresso 3 that’s installed? Can you post a link to the main event registration page so we can investigate further?

It is version 3.2.37.6.P
Here is the link to the particular event: http://www.enlightensc.org/event-registration/?ee=49
Is there an email address I can send an admin and/or FTP info to for you to look at it closer?

Hi there,

It looks like someone set up a Gravity Form contact form there instead of using the regular Event Espresso reg form for waiting lists. You should be able to see entries for that form by looking at the Gravity Forms admin for that form.

If you want to use the overflow event functionality that’s built into EE3, you follow this guide to set things up:

Doh! Thank you Josh! I didn’t realize the client or previous developer had set it up this way.
