We are just beginning to use hashtags to help promote our events. I see there is an area in EE3 events to enter Event Meta, it says
Key: event_hashtag Value: xxx
My question is, how many hashtags are permitted for one event? Do each need to have a separate line (key) or can we use commas to separate hashtags and lump them all together? I’m assuming we need to do them all separately, but just checking 😉
You can input multiple hashtags into that single field, how ever you input them in the field is how they will be output, for example,
“#hashtag1, #hashtag3, #hashtag3”
or
“#hashtag1 #hashtag3 #hashtag3”
Those meta values are an example of event meta you can add to the event, so it depends how you are using the hashtags. Are you outputting them to the page?
If you are outputting the hastags to twitter you have the 140 character limit that you need to remember.
