Hello there,

Is it possible to add an image gallery to an event without having to drop a short code into the Editor?

I have been playing around with both Cyclone Slider 2 and NextGen Gallery and neither seem to make it very straightforward.

Hi,

As EE3 doesn’t use true custom post types, a shortcode would need to be added to the event description. EE4 should be easier as it uses custom post types for events.

If you are wanting the same gallery to appear on all events in EE3, you could modify the template files to use the do_shortcode() funtion: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode
